The Ford+ plan really coming to fruition.
Wow what a year! The stock is ripping upward. All of the doom and gloomers... including those posting mass layoffs coming every week... look like a nice horse's rear.
Exactly @ej. Then subtract the warranty costs, and the cost of the massive FnF salaried freeloaders and Ford is bleeding $.
@ej Spot on.
@dd+1keb04gny Most sales gains were in the entry level trims, where the company doesn't profit much. BTW, exactly the opposite of Farley's vision of selling less vehicles with higher margins.
@a1+1keb04gny The issue is not about how many vehicles are sold, but what are the profits, and how much we burned to do so. The numbers don't lie. Ford has a $164 billions debt. Just a little economic trouble ahead, enough for a drop in sales and a high in repos, and Ford will be bankrupt.
Not a fan of Farley, but hard to argue with results.
Can we say pull ahead sales due to fear of steel and such tariffs. Also, elimination of EV credits? Pent up purchases from COVID. I know so many people that had been holding off on vehicle purchases that went ahead and purchased out if fear prices were going to dramatically go up.
It's like a bad spouse...people keep coming back for a sub-par product. make it make sense. Oh well...keep on making bad financial decisions...keeps the bonuses flowing while I drive an extremely well operating used car of a different brand. #winning
Pushing RTO forced many employees to buy or lease a new car. I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a factor and was intentional.
@a1 vehicle sales, like vaporware subscriptions, don’t always translate into profits. February 10 will be eye opening.
All hail our genius leader, JF!
How is this possible when most of you say the company is going bankrupt? Hahahaha.
