How is it that we're all scheduled for a Tom Harvey visit, yet the only ones stepping up are your Regional and RVP? Then, to top it off, store management drops the news that we’re getting more positions. Seriously, how do you expect to add more roles when there are no hours to support them? Are we really that out of touch?

Maybe a visit from Leah Bangs? The supreme finger pointer of the southeast.
- pointing out that we need to paint, dust, and replace water damaged ceiling tiles. She also pointed out that the toilet paper in our restrooms was in the holder backwards.
She said “what’s wrong with this picture”
I was stumped and replied “you got me puzzled “. Then she said shoes were missing from the riser yet a customer was four feet away trying the shoe on. What a waste of air, space, and money.
There are taking positions away
In March we lost sales team managers and merchandise team managers they were given a package or demoted to a lower position
belk is trying to take salary manager position and make them hourly
Nobody is taking that pay unless they are desperate
Belk wants to hire people who don’t know what’s happening with the company and they think they can lie to them
Social media and the internet is Belk’s worst enemy, some people already know the company is in shambles
So much is online about Belk’s devious methods and now Belk’s track record speaks for itself
It’s a complete disaster from the very top to very bottom
Belk will never bring back visual or AP. Many stores starting losing AP and visual positions before the belk brothers sold out. I remember the big stores always had at least 5 visual associates back in the day. Those days are over.
The positions are not managerial in nature. It appears there may be a few additional full-time roles available, but I believe this may be more of a facade than a genuine opportunity. Additionally, it would be beneficial to address concerns regarding the lack of store hours allocated to complete the necessary tasks. And as for Harvey have surgery, my visit was last month with no show..
I’m going to need to know what new positions you speak of. I think Belk needs to bring visual and AP managers back to all stores. As well as 1 full time shoe associate minimum. Among many other positions but I think those are the most important.
