Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

I've worked at SF in ET for 15+ years and this is the worst it has ever been. No one is engaged. Everyone is checked out just doing the minimum to get by. I know my team output has probably dropped 50-60% over the last couple of years. We don't care.

We all know another layoff is coming. It doesn't matter who you are or hard you work, they only care about the money saved. You can say the last layoff was a failure, but in terms of dollars on a spreadsheet, it is a success. All the matter are executive bonuses.

I don't think brining back a form ET employee is going to solve anything. Why hasn't anyone been picked to lead the department? They are waiting until after the next round of layoffs before they assign roles.

Doing the bare minimum is your job, anything more is above and beyond and should be compensated as such. No wonder people do the minimum, they grt paid just as much as the person who does more. Aside from what small percentage increase every year people are happier don't see much benefit doing extra work for scraps.

There have been THOUSANDS of layoffs at SF. And there needs to be more. Especially in ET. Underskilled, unhelpful, pure waste.

It’s what happens when you work from home. They do the bare minimum while casting up on those Netflix shows and chores around the house. Try to get ahold of someone outside of a meeting. It’s impossible. They show away For an hour then have some excuse as to why it took so long to respond. Back in office full time!!! Now!!!

SF like government needs to be greatly reduced across the board for the service they provide. Anyone who does not believe this is either: 1 lying or 2. Thinks they should continue to milk the policyholder. It is so obvious.

I was moved to HCL.

Tickets that should take ten minutes to resolve are passed around for a week before getting closed.

so when they forced ET to go to HCL an external company not affiliated with State Farm or loose their jobs that was not a lay off, nah ... people loosing their jobs was non optional optional choose to stop working at state farm....choice that was not optional.

The HCL decision was a giant failure, several teams down to just a couple old SF trying to cover but HCL is cutting more on-shore for year 3. It's about to really get bad. Systems has been decimated.
