It means one day, you have an Elevance badge. The next day, you are an employee of another company, like Deloitte or Kyndryl, and wear their badge.
Elevance sweeps you under the carpet, pushes you to the other company, where your future fate lies. The new company will also have a savings goal, so they will eventually issue RIF's.
