"H-1B visa applicants" face more disruptions amid social media checks and wage protection rules

A.) The U.S. has started conducting online presence reviews of all H-1B and H-4 visa applicants in a bid to curb what it refers to as the “abuse” of the program.

B.) The wage protection law proposed by the Department of Labor last week could dissuade companies from sponsoring H-1B visas.

C.) Any changes to the H-1B rules will likely disproportionately hurt Indians, as they make up more than 70% of the recipients in recent years.

@da Verizon has a global workforce, white-collar category, of 60k employees and 30k being craft and labor employees.

Employed, as H-1B visa status, the assumption is that 10% (6k) are white-collar, US-based management employees, 6k, are gainfully employed, who are all expendable. Are absolutely expendable!!!

@bv Verizon don't really need H1Bs. They have large centers in India. Most of the work is now done from there, after layoffs. Even cheaper than an H1B.

Get rid of every H1-B, any company who claims they need it should pay a penalty of 10yr salary to the govt, up front.

Companies have abused H1-B's and US Citizens have suffered because of it.
