Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

For those who want to be RIF'd

Volunteering won't do it. The defiant nature of the leaders here will just give you more work, laugh at you struggle, and will try to make you quit.

You have to put yourself on the chopping block by simply reporting your manager to Employee Relations. They will take the side of your supervisor, BUT you are a target now. A person who doesn't go with the flow, and can potentially expose them. Therefore, becoming a financiql liability and a source to empower others.

I guarantee you will be on the next list.

Keep in mind that a RIF does NOT mean you will get severance. By volunteering you only guarantee you’ll lose your job.

There’s nothing in any policy anywhere that requires the company pay a severance.

@da

Just posted this on another section:

Don’t waste your energy filing complaints with HR about management. In many cases, it won’t lead to real change. Sometimes, the best move is to pack your bags, cut your losses, and move on.

Someone I knew reported their manager to HR for harassment. After all the back-and-forth, they were told to either learn to deal with it or leave. They chose to walk away—and honestly, it was probably for the best.

It’s a facade. In the end you lose anyway, and destroy your reputation in the process.

Employee Relations is just another extension of HR. People try to use it as a shield and always end up worse off.

Succeed? Yay - now you’re both a problem and a target. Fail? Too bad. Still a target and your exit will be swift.

I cannot stress this enough: Leave on your own terms while you can. You can leave with your reputation and dignity, or llose that as well as your job.

It appears the OP is not aware of the serious implications of workplace retaliation.

ax+1k3rez0dd Who said it has to be made up? You've seen the concerns in here from those who want to be laid off. They all stated some conflict with their manager. Every last one.

The culture is trash which is why this thread exists. Nice try.

So your plan to get laid off an hope you get a severance is to report your boss for anything, probably made up. Good chance the person directly above you has nothing to do with lay offs, is in the same boat as everyone else, and just trying to do their job. So you want to add to this person's stress and make their job and life even more miserable to hopefully get personal financial gain. Sounds like you should be fired and get nothing.
