Any tea on what may happen with some of the duplicate teams that are being merged (SD & insert legacy paramount brand here)? Marketing everywhere, MTV/Skydance TV, animation, legal, etc.). Do you think they will finally be merged properly with some grand plan explained to the company?

@jm wrong, Pluto engineering are mostly overseas contractors. They are way cheaper than P+ FTE. With the convergence, Pluto resources are freed, they will take over considerably part of P+ and replace FTEs.
Bumping this. Did anyone here of executives let go in the past week or two?
@d9 you're getting a lot of flack but agree - Pluto teams feel like a joke compared to how organized P+ is, the teams will get smaller as the two converge. There are counterparts on Pluto twiddling their thumbs as budgets got slashed on Pluto.
@dp If they don’t want to be here they can leave and then the people who do want to be here but get laid off get more severance.
@d9 Bad advice. Why would they leave instead of waiting for possible severance while they look for a job? Do you think that the more ppl that leave, the less the chance you're getting RIF'ed?
@ce Honestly, if I was a Pluto employee I would strongly consider leaving. Your biggest advocate TR and VH have lost all their power. Your app is getting merged into P+ because it's expensive to run and you're wasting a ton of money. Your employees are spread out without ever going into an office. You have a ton of employees which are not working on the core money driver for this company which as DE said is P+
CNN and CBS is going to be the next merger duplication team, and they hate CBS
You've been told
SD has a lot of overlap in features.
More concerned with the overlap between Pluto TV and P+ Streaming Tech
SD was so small not much overlap
Any feature film teams overlap between SD and Paramount.
I cannot imagine SD has a large TV/Streaming presence. They mostly produce movies.
