Thread regarding CDW layoffs

No Reasons Given

They let go quality delivery coworkers who had good utilization and revenue... Coworkers who were in technology areas CDW leadership claims they want us to grow in. Many of these cuts make no business sense and it is crushing moral because it implies they arbitrarily cut coworkers regardless of how much GP they were bringing in. We were asked to grow parts of the business and then just had people who were deeply involved growing the business get suddenly cut without reason. It's contradictory and demoralizing.

@d9 More lies about performance. When performance is applied as an excuse, its to get rid of of short-term employees or to restructure someone's job to a lower grade.

The only poor performance is revenue and business.

@d9 myself and teammates that were let go have not been underperforming in over 18 months, consistently 110% for our team in performance each quarter. No one on a PIP.
So unfortunately, not true.

@OP This was largely a coworker performance-based layoff

Hang around until you get severance.

@OP I do know about you, but I'm starting to look. My hope is to be out of here within the next few months. I have zero confidence in the strategy and leadership of ITS, Orchestration, and the leadership teams of CDWG and Education.

Yup, close coworker/friend cut on my team, 10+ years and never below goal on a team that is already understaffed. Makes zero sense.
