Got a job offer from UHG for a data role but reading all these layoffs and RTO post has me worried. Currently employed but under paid with relatively stable job security. Anyone know if the data roles are heavily affected by the layoffs or RTO?

@OP unless you have no other option and / or the offer is so high that you can make bank even short term, don’t do it. It’s not worth the stress of the unknown and instability, poor morale and terrible communications.
The role doesn't matter, its the general area/team you work on that matters. Did you end up accepting or not?
In data role dont leave a current gig. The higher pay wont last then you get nothing. Data roles all end up offshore or now AI.
RUN as fast as you can away!!
Just turned down an opportunity to return as a contractor. I wouldn't subject myself to their lack of leadership and ability to execute even as a consultant.
I worked there for about a year and have a family member that still does. There are layoffs regularly and jobs are being siphoned off to India at a hectic pace. I would never consider going back.
Also many that post here are no longer employees. DO NOT make a career decision based upon this mostly negative ANONYMOUS site.
Keep in mind this site is heavily skewed. You won't find much positive feedback here. A lot also depends on the team/division you are in.
@OP
You should not go work for UnitedHealthCare, unless you have no other opportunities. It's a huge corporate mess. Departments are overstepping each other with requirements to scan anything and everything, people are forced to use AI, whether they like it or not, or helpful or not. And your onshore job is constantly under threat from the offshore employees. Their whole purpose in life is to take your job to India.
@d8 as someone who has moved twice in three years, that’s not true. I hate this company but I have to disagree with you.
Also that letter will be the ONLY offer you ever get in here. You will NEVER get another position anywhere else in the company. They will cement you hard into that role. They preach growth and opportunity, but it's all A FU--ING LIE.
No security here. RUN!!
