I was a CW that was part of the Web Services team that was outsourced. Our entire team last day was March 10th. When we found out and that they wanted us to train our replacements, I resigned right away. This was back on Feb 16th. He-l if I was going to help them in ANY WAY.
@d5 childish behavior already? The higher you go in the organization (organism) the more petulance you find. You absolutely cannot reason with a petulant adult child. If you do you end up with a 1 or 2 rating on your annual review.
Heard from a friend in IT that they've cut a bunch of other temp workers so they can go all in on Cognizant.
Except those CWs are woefully unskilled and unprepared.
Doesn't matter. The VP is friends with an exec at Cognizant, so they get the job even if they can't do it.
Meanwhile they're outsourcing those IT jobs because wages for untrained Indians are a fraction of what they are for capable employees locally.

The ‘they’ is all current executives with majority focus on those externally hired. And it appears this cancer is stage 4 and spread into lower level execs and management.

They are clueless. They have no confidence in their own people's abilities. Sad, but true. Someone sells them the Jack Welch Plan and they sub everything instead of investing in their people and building up a company. A company that cares for its people and the people care for the company. That seems to be in the way distant past. Think about it. #m isn't the only one, this whole website is dedicated to these issues nation and worldwide.
