Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Possible decision?

If I am chosen and plan to retire instead of move, what happens to my annual bonus for 2026? Is it prorated or nonexistent? In past years, it was prorated, but since the packages have changed, they don't address the topic. I could ask my AVP, but don't want to cause concern. They will get their 2 week notice.

"Package" harkens back to a time when there were financial incentives to leave the business. Subsidized medical insurance. A kicker to your 401K or pension. Your severance.

There is nothing left but severance.

There are no packages.

@d2 If you aren't selected and retire anyway, you probably won't receive the 2027 bonus of there is any!

If you leave this year, you should still get a prorated bonus payable in 3/6/27 as that is part of the severance package.

I declare it’s approved to refer to the standard severance package as a “package.” I know this is a sensitive and upsetting declaration for a few folks.

Nothing has changed. And there are no “packages”. But your bonus would be prorated.

You get the prorated amount if you retire.

I was part of the November 6 class, we are receiving a pro-rated bonus on March 6.

Don’t give em two weeks just stop showing up and wait for the paychecks to stop rolling in. They wouldn’t give you any notice.
