Hearing rumors of some big meeting possibly next week. Guessing it will be a "let's start over!" meeting where all the leaders will be tripping over each other with their grand ideas.
Yep thats all they do add more layers and layers of management to pat themselves on the back and sit on calls all day. Honestly what have all of these layers of managers brought to the table. What changes have they really made? I dont know but yeah let's add more of them and then decide which team members reporting in their line that they are going to let go to cut costs since we have to keep hiring new managers on top of managers.
@cz ahahaha they made srini head of tech and ops for financial solutions
Huge reorg just announced via Dhivya
@OP U would have to think they will try something to get this ship turned around! Is a bad thing?
@cz Being wildly incapable of doing a job is the only way to make it to leadership
There sort of already has been a big change. FIG doesn’t exist any more. The issuer solutions (FOS) was pulled in with Gelb replacing Gibbons to make it financial solutions. Wilcox moved into a new role and owns a weird spread of products and teams. Whitney left and DFS was broken up. The core space, under Dudley, now owns core and many of the digital surrounds (decision management, deposit solutions, and deposit liquidity). Digital channels (RO/BO and XD) now roll into the same easer as payments (which itself sort of got split with Wilcox’s move). Card Service is pretty much untouched. That all product, rumors I’ve heard are that the non-business groups might revert back to their older ways of being direct to product owners. So a reversion from a matrix org. Think development, app ops, ans FTS reporting to product owners (BU presidents and GMs) as opposed to some random CIO or something. It makes sense, we’ve disconnected the meat behind our product so much that GMs spend all of their time fighting internal politics and not actually building better services. People
Like shrini have proven wildly incapable of doing the job.
It’s about time they shake it up!
Have heard it will be big, and not sure if its good. Most of the people I have talked to are leary.
My manager mentioned something about a potential reorg to me and had a sad/lost look on his face. I'm guessing my team is getting split up. Buckle up.
What specific rumors are you hearing?
