After several years here, it feels like nothing more than a temporary pit stop. Layoffs keep coming, and management uses all sorts of tricks to push people out quietly. I’m planning to stick it out a bit longer to weather the storm, but I already know I’ll be looking for something more stable and rewarding soon.

Same thing any industry any publicly traded company. Ai and offshore the magic solution. Go to a different company there will be the honeymoon period different logo then same thing same players different names same game. Where you gonna run to?
Newsflash: All jobs are stopgaps. Your goal should be that you can be rehired quickly. Hunt for a new job at all times. Never stop networking for a better opportunity.

Target and Medtronic are looking to offshore most of their professional staff.
The sad truth is MN was picked for these HQs due to English speaking workers who needed less pay… why, Chennai is even lower pay than Hyderabad, let alone MN, and they also speak English!
@bg I empathize with the offshore hiring frustrations, but to clarify, the Change Healthcare attack may have come via a known vulnerability. A patch was available Feb. 19, and the attack later happened on Feb. 21. Do you think if Optum didn't let go of so many talented employees, perhaps someone qualified may have been around to see the vulnerability and realize there was an available patch?

I am seeing the same, every day it is a dice roll to what critical issue in production was caused by some "senior" offshore who im being heavily pressured to offload all my work onto. Also they can see PHI and SSNs for medicare which is 100% illegal!
Same feeling here, they rather hire offshore cheap labor then talent in the US. I come to broken code base and applications every single day now it's even reaching production applications guess what... let it burn if they're unwilling to treat us good let them have it minimum performance.
