Any H1b's affected by recent layoffs ? What is the time frame. I heard its end of September + 2-3 months. Counting till end of December for H1b's to stay legally.
Any pointers ??

@cw The thing about being in Law Enforcement, you can't be affected by ruining someone's day. And while I think laws need to be enforced, I prefer someone else do it.
Beside joining ICE team with $50K signing bonus, if you are American and lost your job, you could also consider a career in law enforcement, such as joining the California National Guard Military Police, the Sheriff's Department, .... These positions often offer Big Fat Paychecks, Big Fat Pensions, and Strong Job Security. It's definitely worth looking into!
@cb A lot of H1-B's are posting in the watercooler slack channel, at least before being disconnected, asking for help finding another job in O.
I think no one was safe this time.
H-1Bs don’t have to worry about their jobs during layoffs; because their jobs are protected
If you are American and lost your job, You could join ICE team, $50K signing bonus, and go after H-1Bs who took your job
