H & C (Home and Community). There were layoffs on 3/19. Mandatory meetings were called just a few hours before. Those laid off was told it was immediate. Some others were moved to other departments: Peer to Peer, Medical Records, House Calls. End of last year, it was shared in meetings that OGS (Optum Global Solutions - Philippines) were hired to work in the departments. Team members were asked to volunteer to train the new OGS team. It was emphasized the OGS coming on board did not mean anybody would lose their jobs. Only the gullible believed that lie.
3/19/2026- RGV TX got hit, PSR, LVN's RN's, MA's, Providers. while other got transferred to other sister clinic.

@a7 by other areas that assist with clinic operations, do you mean Carenet by chance? We are the call center taking on wellmeds inbound calls in SA. El Paso and Austin markets. The patients are angry when calling, we have no info and still getting 1000+ calls a day. So sad for patients losing their care without notice. But also all the jobs, I’d like to know if we’ll be impacted can only expect to be I guess
@OP lots of people in San Antonio market got laid off today! Providers and clinical staff. Will there be more layoffs this year?

@cz yup, on 3/19 we will find out who is being let go. Some staff received an email 3/18 with a meeting invite stating to join from home

Heard Wellmed personnel calling up previous members and verifying why they dropped off and went to other clinics. I tell you why. All the bad publicity UHG has in the news . How can you trust a health insurance company and your clinic is tied to their fraud investigations .
@OP Yes, there is going to be a RIF of employees in NTX clinics on 3/19. WellMed shrinking from 60 to 41 clinics in a short span of time (it’s no secret). RIF will include managers, front office, back office clinical support and clinicians. Other areas that support clinic operations will be impacted as well with the squeeze to a smaller footprint in the NTX market.
