Is there any truth to rumors of a 10/30 layoff? Optum site is reporting one.

From what I have seen from the internal numbers is the goal for the latest RIF's was to eliminate 25% of US based employees under Mahmoud AlAssir. I can say I do believe that goal was hit for those under Khaliq Raza.
Optum Insight hit as well.
Optum Tech is being hit. From what I have heard by different people in management I know is the goal was 20% but not sure what that amounts to as they didn't say if it was 20% total or department or per team etc... What I do know is all positions being cut are US based and some of the positions in tech are literally being let go as their replacements in India are being interviewed.
@OP NJ Optum Specialties were impacted. All endocrinology in NJ closing, all staff, MDs, clinical and nonclinical. Read count of 423 people effective 12/31/25. Offices closing for patients 11/30/25.
@sv exactly when you see the 15 min 1x1 your time us up. I am no longer there. Its ok though I am in a better place now.
This is standard operating procedure at Optum and this site is always exactly on point with the dates. It's literally every 2 months and this is the way they balance the books to make the #'s look good for end of year results. And for the person who said they don't do 1:1's? Wrong. I have had to schedule those 1:1's myself to lay people off-it pops up right before the call. (I am no longer there)

10/30 On the optum side at wellmed.
60ish employees laid off today. Care Advocates, lvn, nurses and management. North texas out patient team.
Management said additional layoffs on 10/31 and in February.

Just had a meeting with my manager and co worker, a few folks in my team were impacted.
It’s happening. I was notified this morning. I worked in Optum Health in the people team.
This is how you know people are here to stir the pot and scare people. Layoff meetings are never listed as 1-1 meetings. This is how you know most people on this site don't even work for UHC and trying to scare people. This site is useless lately. Noting has been accurate. Next month people will ask for layoff dates and they will just put a date out there. Stop stressing about the unknown if it happens it happens out of our control.
Employees will get notified tomorrow (10/30). If you have an unplanned 1 on 1 show up in your calander …. :(

Yes, heard some leaders were in meetings for how to handle layoffs for staff. Not sure where they will happen. Not surprised as we are not winning new business and we lost a large client and are now on the verge of losing another.
