My manager has asked our lead to conduct our 1:1 monthly meetings for the next 3 months. In my years here we have always met with our manager. Does anyone know if this related to the 8/8 RIF?

@cry+1t7tnMcH You hit the nail on the head. Our manager knew in advance the carnage in RIFs the company was about to obliterate our department with. He used that to his knowledge and got TF outta dodge getting a cushy director position elsewhere in the company and leaving everyone behind to deal with the fallout. Looking back there were definitely signs like cancelling 1:1s etc.
At this point I don’t put anything past this company or their leadership.
Sounds like the manager is preparing for their own move inside or outside the company.....
I am really not sure. But in all honesty it would make me want to secure additional information if possible...if anyone in management is willing to be forthcoming....please do so.
