Heard there is another wave of layoff coming in Early Feb hitting US and India - GCC, anyone know anything about this ? Ironically GCC folks are scrambling for safety after taking away American jobs

It would be a shame if that causes issues with AM Tech over SuperBowl weekend. A real shame.
It’s confirmed that India will have layoffs in AM Tech, most likely in Feb so they can avoid paying bonuses in March.

Left Nielsen sometime ago now, but when I talked to GCC employees, I was just appalled and shocked that what were they thinking when they hired these folks, most of them just clueless, have no accountability and technically way poorer than a non graduate US employee (or any country). I have worked with excellent people from India but GCC folks are definitely not one of them.
If you think about, the reason of these GCCs in India is because they can dispose of Indians overnight without giving severance or even explaining themselves. For Nielsen these Indians are just numbers that are cheap to manage!
