Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Offices in Optum circle

Was in the office today. Oh how life has changed. The offices used to be inspirational and loved way people connected. Now the atmosphere is very negative and all the benefits of cafe are gone.. anyone feel the same way?

Is it true that the there is a transcript circulating in Optum circle where some of the ESRO leaders had been caught in an affair? That this is going to fuel layoffs of those involved?

OP is referencing the fact certain beverages and snacks would be like $0.50. It rotated seasonally. Now everything is marked up above gas station pricing.

@OP what changed in the cafe ? If it's the prices, that happened awhile ago unless they have gone up again.

Curious, what are the benefits of the cafe you speak of that went away?

You’re lucky, I remember the depressing atmosphere at the office before Remote. I use to see the customer service enrollment team and the people who handled complaints. One team had a team lead who if they spoke to each other she be at their desk berating them and the complaint people use to sleep or watch videos on their phones . They freq yelled at their manager on meeting. Had a couple of directors also at the office and they put their meeting on speaker phone. I could hear all the cr-p going on and after wards I got to hear the conversation between directors and VP’s . They the men use to call the women managers or directors D-mb “B”.
