@es Leadership is currently being dazzled by AI frauds since they don't have the technical capability to see through things. In addition they are cheered on by a circle of yes-men whose only skill is boot-licking for a bonus.
@eb everyone trying to prove theyve adopted AI , and providing madeup use cases for cxo, who read it during fancy events.
Dont fight this show, pretend to be part of it and excited .
@cn I used to think management was just using AI as a cynical excuse to slash headcount and pad their bonuses. I wish I was right. Instead, they’re 'true believers' pouring money into a fantasy. They’re gutting the company for a tech that still can’t even fix a Jira of average difficulty.
@cf who can bell the cat.
@cn sadly adapting also has the same outcome.
@cf Management is truly convinced that AI will eventually replace our roles and is actively preparing for that transition. During the Taiwan AMA, it was made clear: adapt to AI or risk being replaced.
seems the upper mgmt expectation is "ai" will code, ai will test, ai will demo, delpoy, sell, support snps products?
nothing against using ai in a sensible way, but it seems the leadership is taking this to absurd levels...
how about replacing a broken leadership team with ai for starters?
it probably will do as good as a bunch of monkeys rolling the dice...
The management is chanting "AI" in every meeting, even the office plants know the next layoff is coming soon. Stop waiting for the axe to cut your head. If you’re eyeing the exit, get your interview script ready. If you’re worried about the bank account, find a side hustle. If you’re the sharpest technical mind in the room, stop fixing your manager's broken Excel formuls, let them figure out how to "AI" their way out of a circular reference. If you possess knowledge within your team that others do not, stop sharing it; Your kindness is pushing your own head into a noose.
