The two slack groups in the subject are gone as of this evening. There was a lot of posting from/about laid-off coworkers in #watercooler, while #wtf was ultimately a self-help group (with some blowing-off-steam, and good humor as well).
The death-knell has been sounded, for any semblance of life at Oracle prior to the 2025 layoffs.
I guess we get to keep #dad-jokes, a crumb left behind.
@OP I hadn't realized this until I saw this post. Yep, it's now "archived." Wonder if it has anthing to do with the post on September 10, 2025 from the Slackbot that stated that #watercooler was added to the OraCorp-Legal workspace.
HR is the worst!
I am able to understand employees reactions on what is happening. Nobody speaks to them regarding the massive layoffs around. These are natural instincts behavior. Those channel where the only inside place where they could speak out loud. Looks like people really are fed up with the silence about the layoffs. Nobody wants to be kept in dark and fed with sh--s.
I was surprised at some of the posts made there in the past that escaped repercussions, but I guess it hit a critical mass too big to be ignored.
