Our systems

While many here face the fear of losing their jobs, others are more concerned whether our systems will get better after all this...........

@cku+1kFh7gIw, you must not be working in SF IT area or you might be just a du----s. Maybe you are an a$$ kisser with your post "If you were better at your jobs you would not be in this position... This is what happens to those that cannot perform. You and your peers have only yourselves to blame-not management".

Did you find someone posted "I sat in leadership meetings and it's such a joke to have some the most incompetent people gathered in one room or team meeting. Supervisor are just puppets of managers and so on."?

Have you ever been in a meeting with ET/IT directors and senior executives? They set "unrealistic" goals/objectives due to their incompetency and no one be allowed to disagree with them. First line managers and their staffs have no say but to go along although directors and senior executives keep making poor decisions.

Politics at SF is very bad that it held people and company back. If one believed "non-retaliation" policy at SF then that person is a fool. If one dared to voice his/her opinion then that person would be marked for life and will never have the opportunity to advance. How system analysts be blamed and not managements when system changes cannot be implemented without the approvals of directors and senior executives? Directors and senior executives would not listen to system analysts' ideas and suggestions as they are not permitted to have any opinions nor allowed to think what would be best for the company/policy holders.

@cku+1kFh7gIw, you need to watch if HCLTech would be able to make any system improvements in the next couple years before saying "You and your peers have only yourselves to blame-not management". For now, please pop your head out of the a$$ (yours or maybe some management's one). Btw, SF layoff bus may not stop at ET/IT department. No matter which area you are in now, you will be next. Maybe then you will have to eat your own words "If you were better at your jobs you would not be in this position."

People here keep complaining about the systems ... we have open systems with AWS and Mainframe ... you d-mbasses think offshoring Mainframe will fix the issues? I will let you in on a little secrete Mainframe was stable... Open systems and the AWS server farms along with india writing sh-t apps kept our systems in constant flux. Now ... the stability of the mainframe are in the hands of the same turds "india" that keep writing all the bad apps!! So its only going to get much worse.

To the Agents here ... I have actually worked supporting you as-----s! most could not find their as--s with both hands and a roadmap and are d-mb as the day is long due to "diversity" and checking all the boxes. Time and time again these re--rds forget passwords/ how to log in/ download po-n (yes I have seen it all) most rely on the office manager to fix their sh-t with they sc--w it up.

As they say loyalty doesn't go both ways. That's why I never got drunk off the Kool Aid they serve down from leadership or management. End of the day they only care about their situation. They will walk over you just to justify their existence. I sat in leadership meetings and it's such a joke to have some the most incompetent people gathered in one room or team meeting. Supervisor are just puppets of managers and so on. To all my state farm family make sure to stay competitive and be Agile as well because there are other opportunities out there, don't be a slave to company that will abandon you for cost savings. We all know the problem is mainly leadership or in better term failure of leadership.

They are making smart decisions but unfortunately only 15 years late . While all other companies have already executed their 3rd or 4th generation modernization..they couldn't pull a single one ..whom to blame leadership or employees. A wise person once told me it's not about leadership ..its all about the willingness to change . Where does the big burden lie? Each one of us have to decide.

The leadership is the same old ..and they expect to change the company . Why not get a new executive team..just asking? They tried several times these changes..didn't they realize they were the problem to Start

Is there a system fast enough to catch all of sparkys fails?

Agree, sparky end user needs to step it up and learn their job and how to use app-li-cations!

Highly doubtful. I expect more outages -- bean counters do not understand just how complex our mainframe is.

If you were better at your jobs you would not be in this position. Our systems are antiquated, complex, confusing, and constantly failing. This is what happens to those that cannot perform. You and your peers have only yourselves to blame-not management.

I doubt SF system will get better at all unless all current senior executives are fired. They have not been making one smart decision. They all should be the first to go. It would save SF millions of dollars from paying high salaries for those incompetent id--ts.
