Any truth to the rumor posted here a few weeks ago that all freelance employees are being let go in one swoop? That can’t be true, can it?

Freelancers are gonna be the bread and butter of this place after all the FT employee layoffs. Don’t discount yourself, you will be needed more than ever now. Who will do all the work???
Freelancers can and might continue to be quietly eliminated and not "count" in the news numbers. Might just be me but I have a feeling none of us is safe

Long term freelancer here. We have zero direction and only one person to turn to and they are completely overwhelmed. Seems like there was zero plan in place?
Teams who lost full time employees last week have been hiring freelancers. Make it make sense.

Lol I doubt it. They don't save money firing freelancers - they get rid of staff with benefits
