All I see today is news on the new treasury AI from FIS. Nothing about the layoffs. Well timed press to cover up the layoffs? Well timed to make it seem like the "jump" in profit looks like its coming from this so shareholders spend more? Thoughts?

@ch India is also having huge layoffs, this isn't just a shift to internal jobs in India.
all jobs are going to India
Lots of companies have layoffs that don't get reported. The investing community in general doesn't have much interest in old fintech. If Google, on the other hand, lays off 500 then it's breaking news on CNBC.
Could be. Companies are masters at controlling the narrative—drop some shiny “innovation” news to shift attention away from cuts. The timing is almost never accidental. Layoffs improve short-term numbers, but dressing it up with an AI announcement helps soften the blow and keep shareholders optimistic.
