At the ISP Town Hall last week, during the agenda portion at the beginning the moderator mentioned QA’s and a meeting pulse. Eric said “you’re not going to allow 4-1 questions right?” Leadership in the room all giggled. Then he said “gas prices are high, can we go to 3-2, what an absurd question”. So dismissive and out of touch with the everyday employee at his firm. He’s referencing the Rob sharps town hall last month when him and the MC dodged all questions regarding RTO. Not everyone can afford a personal driver and a nanny while he leads a company into layoff after layoff, a crashing stock price etc.

@ra It looks like some people have negotiated a sweet deal in terms of WFH. I wonder if these are formal or informal.
@m3 This is starting to change. There are entire teams that had very flexible arrangements and weren't following the 4-1. Those teams have now been made to do so. Things are happening outside of IT. You're just not hearing about it here.
@e4 I think the issue is some teams strictly follow the in office day mandate while others don’t.

@e4 I stopped coming in when I was told I would be losing my job. If they are all in India why do I need to come in the office to train them? They are not doing very well, but management says they are doing great as they want to keep their jobs. The good guys retired - they did not want to partake in this effort because they have morals.
@cf joke’s on the management committee actually! I think everyone should quietly resist and not come in 4 days, I know I don’t. Teams are so understaffed that many managers don’t dare bring it up.
Plus why should I when departments keep posting jobs that specifically require local in-office, then lo and behold, they end up hiring someone fully remote! Until there is actually a consistent firm policy on in-office, they aren’t going to do sh*t. They know it and we know it.
Maybe they never learned about the French Revolution in history class…

What a D-bag. Even worse to have said it out loud to staff. It really is becoming Hunger Games at this dump. With this seating system where teams are not seated together as they were in the beginning - in our team all of these people I don't know are around me - in office for many roles is just useless. They just want to walk around and feel like big shots when they survey the plantation. Between this, the d-mb Netflix article, and that stupid nonsense about building an AI Humanoid - I guess with Accenture people. There must be a dispensary next to Harbor Point.
