Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

@cp - 4% raise, RSUs, 100% bonus, and 8k inspire points last year. I'm doing ok.

Find it immensely hilarious that someone downvoted my earlier comment.

It literally comes down to budget. Every org has a quarterly budget to spend, some quarters there is none at all, some there are "budget constraints" and (in the past there were some where anything goes).

If there's no budget? no awards or only shoutouts (i.e. no actual points),
If there's limited budget give it to people that actually deserve it (but maybe lower the amount of points to leave room for others).
Unlimited budget? Never happened.

The kicker? People in "high cost locations" are at a disadvantage because x amounts of points is worth more $ in those locations.

It gets pulled into your W2 and taxed FYI

nominate you over lays, use sales chat to give you a short blurb . but managers wont be doing if for you. you need to do it your self and others. all of mine have come from colleagues i work with.

@cf I send 10-12 every quarter most times 1or 2 get approved. Sometimes 0 get approved.

You realize managers don't have to nominate, right? If your org su-ks, and you really want Inspire points, talk to your coworkers and nominate each other. I've never had an Inspire I sent get denied by leadership, and I send several a quarter. How many people have you recognized in the last year? Be the change you want to see and quit whining.

opposite, people have been forgetting to nominate. seen multiple reminders across mgrs lately reminding people to use them.

Yes, we were told to no longer give them. They want people to be miserable so they quit, not happy.
