Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Were in Jan 26 any news on pay?

Ffs its been 18 months since they last pay review when they gave 0%.

They liars said it was to be Aug 25, then Sept, then Dec 25, then Feb 26.

Anybody heard anything from the perpetual liars?

@y3 Guess most of us fell through the cracks. No worries though, he did say he was going to try and find us.

In yesterdays UK&I town hall they said there had ben some merit reviews or promotion pay increases, what they failed to do though was give any context, ie at what level of employment, managers? Directors? You can bet your bottom dollar non where given to the grunts who are customer facing who actually do the work that earns the company the money so they can give out the pay rises to the non earners

The DXc management are clueless, they jyst dont recognise a pay rise.

They have no commitment to it.

They focused on everything else but pay. They think glossy marketing, waffle, town halls, linkedin messages are going to win new contracts when they are shafting employees.

On a big downhill decline.

After today's town hall no one in UKI can pretend to be surprised when there is no merit increase in Q4. There was even a pretty graph to show just how far away the possibility of a raise is

Work reduction strategy:

  • Ignore all emails which are not asking you directly to do something. "Team can someone..." - ignored. Misspellings of my name - ignored.
  • Only attend meetings you absolutely have to. Most are pointless and add no value.
  • When blocked - which is quite often. Refer it to your manager, and wait. They will also ignore it, or miss it, you've told them - job done!
  • When meetings overrun - which is also very common - disconnect - they will have to setup again with a more realistic timeframe.
  • When asked to quote. Double it, double it again, someone else will double it and add a contingency. An afternoons work gets quoted as 3 weeks. The clients will reject it, so no work, or they will agree, and you have 2.5 weeks spare time, but it's billable work. Nobody cares as long as the task in done in the agreed timeframe.

And this is why DXC is such a cr-p place to work!

@f9 I look forward to hearing my manager squirm through this.

The annual apology for no raise is the highlight of the year.

It's OK though, that's just another 10% less time I'm spending doing anything for dxc. This will take it down to about two days a week trying to do anything for them.

@cf Company policy has long been. You negotiate your salary and benefits when you join, and that's pretty much it. Yes even if that was 10 years ago! Not enough people just quit to make them change tack. Or the ones who were going to already have long since. If you want an hourly pay rise. Well just work less (for DXC). That's what everyone else seems to be doing.

@f9 Sadly this is all too believable

As someone who is in the meeting with HR we have been told flat out no raises and given a talk track that will make you all cringe. I cant read it with a straight face.

No raise yesterday
No raise today
No raise tomorrow

What part of the above you don’t understand?

Inside the company, the dog that eats DXC’s homework is called Market Conditions. Outside, it’s called Reorganization. After 8 years of training that dog still sh*ts the carpet in the lobby.

Of course we won't hear anything in January. They will string us along till 3rd week in March, when they can't put it off any longer THEN tell us there is no merit reward. Not only does it mean the few gullible people left make an effort for first 3 months of the year but leadership only have a week or two before they can tell us how things will be different in the new financial year, and so the whole cycle begins again.

Anyone who genuinely believes differently works in HR.

Sorry folks, no salary review this year. We urgently had to spend money on the new, colourful logo. Hope you like it. Also, we are going to spend few hundred millions on a sixth in a row restrucurization. The 100 milion dollars we spend last year on top of the 200 million the year before was not enough. So as you can see, we cannot afford it!

Freak show...

We planned for it, but unfortunately we have to pay that as parting gift for Maserati wheelan in apj.

You are correct. We have bought a new Maserati for him - in the new DXC color scheme and that has blown all of the 2026 and 2027 pay rise budget globally so sorry (this of course does not apply to the execs who will receive their money regardless of results as usual later in the year)

It seems that DXC can send out last minute demands about taking Christmas leave but they can't work out simple pay raises after 2 years. The worst company you can work for, avoid.
