Who’s been notified? How are you notified? Is it the result you wanted?
Wishing all the best and know we’ll all come out ok no matter what happens.
More to us than work.

@gh i’m assuming if you put down Chevron is previous work experience and they would do a background check and call to make sure you’re not still working there. Has that been the case for anyone else has anyone else found any job and been able to start?

they were notified
@f1 how would they know especially if the last day in this Friday and wont have network access anymore.
Someone else can feel free to comment and clear this up but just so you know,
You can accept a new role or job at another place AFTER your last day on payroll if you've been severed or left standing AND receive severance.
But if you start a new job during your deployment phase then it might effect your severance payout.
@dq Hang in there. I was laid off from a previous company. No warning- went into work like any other day and came out with a box. Lots of crying but I did come out and found another job at a small company, left that and found something I really liked - changing my career in the process. Looking back it was the best thing to push me to change careers. Things will work out. Hang in there.
Sorry to hear that. Check out the post on next steps and complete them before you lose access. There will be a good outcome in the end, just hang in there.
Got my notice today. 15 years ending not with a bang, but a whimper.
I am shattered and humiliated. I’ve tried to put on a brave face to support others, but suspect that just like my career here, this attempt has been a spectacular failure.
I have no idea what tomorrow, or the day after, or the day after that, looks like.
@df I’m good with 3 years. I’ll be 34 and will have the exact amount of experience needed. Anymore more than 3 years to get the fu-k out of Houston is torture. They are doing me a favor, can’t wait for the next AEOI opportunity.
@d7+1jxwfgrnz
It will be less than 5 years when the next one occurs. The business plans all say 3 years.
What a sad day in the Permian. Heartbreaking to see experienced good performers being let go, a big loss. CBU expats making it through though keeping all their expat benefits. Good luck to the impacted folks in finding new opportunities & purpose.
Is this week not for PSG 26 and up?
I’m a longstanding member of the ‘Friends and Family’ clique in my business unit. I kept my current job. I’ve been with Chevron for 32 years.
Left standing. Given to some “low cost geography” guy. Good luck. Lmao.
How realistic is it to find a gig in PDC? If you’re software / data folk?
Are you all PSG 26 and above?
Alright boys and girls. Only five more years until the next one. Start getting ready.
@d5 there have been people notified by their rep only and then received an email from HR.
Not sure why some people were thumbing down my post “If you didn’t receive a meeting invite with hr in it, you are safe. Otherwise, you are fired!”
Was I wrong?
@all if we get a meeting request along with HR, that means i do not have job any more ? am i correct
Just got notified that I was selected so notifications are still happening.
@d1 what is RDO?
Job owners RDO today. Need to wait until tomorrow morning. Waiting is so Chevron.
Risk is a major factor. If you’re in a position where you can impact something in a negative way you’re out the same day.
lol, the call was the confirmation! I can’t be the only one this is happening to.
It was a surprise, but not at all unexpected. No complaints, I’m grateful to have a role that will be both challenging and interesting.
@ct Thats strange if they didn’t confirm with you ahead of time
It was strongly inferred that I should apply for the position and not something else
@ct Had you previously been notified you were being written in or was that a surprise today?
I heard mid-afternoon. It was not anyone of the roles I applied for, but I’m happy nonetheless.
@cf tell us more...i have lots of good friends in el segundo
@cq Must be different at each site. In manufacturing we were told you exit the premises with your personal stuff on the day you're notified of left standing
JUST FYI if you're left standing
Default last day is July 17th for payroll
Network access shuts off June 20th at 5pm
You have to turn in badge and laptop by 5pm on Friday June 20th
They'll walk you out the door probably
Once you finish the HR meeting and are notified you are left standing, you're in redeployment from that point on.
If you are left standing, NO you do NOT have to complete a mid year PMP
@ay
You're cut off immediately but you've access to some parts of Chevron website related to your ESIP/Pension via your 401K fund manager website.
Is anybody participating in the upcoming PDC ?
Got an unscheduled call from the job owner to notify me that I have a job. I’m happy because I know they’re one of the good managers.
I’m in San Ramon.
I’ve officially been left standing but I didn’t cry or get sad. I was actually excited lol. Better things are ahead.
For the ones that accepted a role in Houston, when do you have to make the move?
@c4 Have they said a relocation estimate?
For those who have received an offer, did anyone receive a job offer that they didn’t apply for?
I heard it was bloodyinElSegundo…
