Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Rifs and office closures

Lake Mary will close the 2nd and 3rd floors. Probably be told to work from home and then rifs after that.

Between Ai and Ai and TMI we it’s coming to a close.

Thanks for your candor.

Why would Lake Mary close certain floors? The ignorance on this site is laughable.

Confirmed. Lake Mary is becoming a two story building.

Dan is gonna use his sledgehammer and cowboy boots to knock out 2 and 3.

Confirmed!

Don't equate WFH to rifs. You are intentionally creating unsupported, unjustified fear. There is zero evidence that one equates to the other. If that were really the case, then every home based employee would have been riffed last year.

Do your job as best you can, but always be prepared.

Not sure about which floors after recent restructuring, but I’m told after the many team mergers from the prior RIF, the goal is to lean those groups out.
Suggested reduction goals of another 15-20%. My director said he would recommend people in those LM, Irving, BR groups at least begin preparing their resumes.

Fake news. Lake Mary is the best in the business as evidenced by involuntary exits by nearly all the top leadership in both finance operations and FPAS over the years. This high performing location of top tier talent will remain a key part of Verizon’s workforce strategy and success.
