Curious if anyone’s leader actually did damage control today by talking to their people or teams as this in office message went out? It seems obvious to me we were all left to panic and figure it out on our own. Rewind the clock 2 months ago and our workday tracker said 11 days, and a percentage. Now today nearly half the company is below the mark. Did your leader help you clarify that today?!

Yes, Elavon and USB leadership people were enjoying themselves at Augusta National today, the fact that they would spend that kind of money on themselves (what customers) is an absolute moral disgrace and worthy of a board investigation, particularly the finance committee to fully understand the why and the how much for a business line that is celebrating single digit growth, losing partners and referral businesses, while the other businesses in that space routinely line on 16 to 20 percent year over year growth.
Board needs to look at the RTO, slash the T & E budget and make leadership do what they are supposed to to.
@cd This is another piece of a sh-tshow, the fact that they sent that e-mail to basically everyone. I'm pretty sure they have ways to target the e-mails to only hybrid employees, but I guess that in the maelstrom of stupid, they couldn't even be bothered to do that
My boomer boss/leader was giddy about the announcement and forwarded my team the email before they were even supposed to tell us and was ecstatic about the new forced rto metric.
They mostly sit in meetings and gossip, so I can understand why they feel RTO is important for them to demonstrate their value.
Most of Elavon senior leaders are at the Masters golf tournament enjoying themselves and dumping money down the drain. I wonder if those days will count towards their RTO. SMDH
Mine sent a message on our Teams team chat yesterday that a communication was coming re RTO tracking and that if we had any questions to reach out. I’m remote and I was surprised that I got the email. I would have figured they wouldn’t send it to remote employees.
@b2 Yep. Grossly unethical and possibly illegal on the part of USB, given that RTO compliance is one of our goals in our performance evaluation which is directly tied to compensation.
@a9 They said they are switching the in office tracking from badge scans to your computer connecting to a USB office location. But then worded it in such a way that no one has any clue how it's being tracked or what the actual requirement is. They also say they are retroactively applying this new method to the beginning of the year. Many people have said that their new Q1 numbers are inaccurate, when before it had showed they were meeting the goal.
@a6 almost seems illegal to retroactively modify results/guidelines, how can they get away with this?
@a8 Manager here. Can confirm.
@a8 Yeah, it was the case for my manager for sure, very obvious this was very poorly thought out.
I was hit with the layoff on Jan 16 but I’m curious what happened today with this email?
The managers in my department seemed to have learned the news about a couple hours before everyone started getting the emails. Just a total shtshow.
@a6 same question I will have for my leader, who told us it was 11 days.
I actually feel bad for my manager because we work well together. But I had lots of things to say about this RTO bullsh-t today and lots of questions about how exactly it's possible to be 100% compliant for multiple months in a row and have that retroactively changed to be way below the newly calculated 60% target.
My manager was mentally checked out today and I think they’re quitting soon because they’ve stopped showing up as much to support.
Mine was clueless and didn’t have any answers.
I tried but honestly managers didn’t get any clarity either.
Mine left early for an appointment 🙃
Mine said let me know if you have questions
