That's how bad it's become. I've been trying to find something else for months. Read the other day that it's something like 250 people fighting for every open role. The inability to change your situation no matter how hard you try is debilitating. I get overwhelmed by anxiety just thinking about losing this job.

@cc It looks like the most of rank and file started to hate our leaders' guts in less than three months. Slow clap of appreciation for our management
Job satisfaction is at an all time low for most people imo
@ax False - the role I got the pay was above market and better than a bigger company. That interview process took 3 weeks only and got an offer in that time.
Media is not overblowing it. Smaller companies lack pay and good benefits.
I feel for you. However the media is overblowing it. Yes there are companies laying people off. This actually is a normalization as companies were hoarding. However what I have seen is that it is the big Fortune 500 companies doing it. I have found the smaller companies are looking for good talent. I was laid off 2/20 but I found a role before I started with a smaller company. There are jobs out there you will find yours. Verizon is not an end all be all. You have an identity outside of VZ. I give you the strength and courage to take that leap.
