Total number of employees-Informational

The 10-K filing is now published.

As of 12/31/2025:
Total # of Employees: 133,030
Number of Retirees/Beneficiaries: ~477,000

Compared to 12/31/2024:

They no longer breadkdown by domestic/international, age ranges, ethnicity, or anything else. Interestingly, they claimed 43% of the workforce is represented by collective bargaining which is unchanged from last year's, and still higher than previous years' 42%.

"After all the abuse Stankey and his henchmen subjected employees to, the head count reduction was only about 8,000 YoY? This is incredibly disheartening, as at this rate, the torture will likely continue for many years to come."

What this doesn't show is the number of American workers fired and number of employees hired in India. I'll apologize to those in India (and Europe and Israel) but we are the American Telephone and Telegraph Company.

So yeah, maybe they really laid off 20,000 US workers but hired 12,000 between Europe, Israel and especially India (made up numbers, I have no idea). The point is, we don't know.

@dg I think corporate reporting states that <5% of jobs require a degree.

Depends on the job and the perceived value of the job. Doesn’t take a MBA to handle a lot of the work. Also depends on what and how you are measuring work. Not as if domestic workers don’t sc--w up. If 3 foreigners make 1 mistake each and your domestic worker makes 1 but you can get the 3 foreigners for the price of the 1 what is better for the bottom line? Hopefully the 3 foreigners aren’t dealing with million dollar accounts.

@cc the foreign workers don’t do sh!t. They all work 2-3 different jobs at once and no one holds them accountable. The company just thinks they’re better because they’re cheaper.

I'd like to see productivity of foreign workers vs domestic workers.

Only 58K more layoffs needed to get down to the 75K target..
