Why are they even doing this drama of mid year PMP. Do it after 16 so people who don't stay don't need to waste time.

PMP's, what a waste of time. Would have thought these things would have been done away with years ago. They have been doing these things ~15-20 years.
Remember " High Performance", "Re-Org", "EOI", & "AEOI", just another name for layoffs!!! A few years from now, they will come up with a new "Buzz Work" to call layoffs. That what companies do! They will cut to the bone, and later realize that they don't have enough people to do the work & rehire at a lower wage, then promote again, at a lower wage for the same position that they just let you go from. Happens every 5-7 years. Only hope is, when it's your time, hopefully you can get a package on the way out!!!
PMP- another waste of time.
The Chevron Way!
@cc like my supervisor really know what I am doing .. lol
If your supervisor is also in the selection event, its possible they are left standing and you land a role. In those situations, HR wants your next supervisor to have the mid-year PMP documented. If your existing supervisor already has a role, then they can wait to complete the mid-year PMP by the end of July. Hope this helps explain it.
Haha. Classic CVX. Doom and gloom, layoffs announced, offshoring work announced and then…we’d like your honest assessment and feedback. LOL
It’s a record of your performance so you can be stiffed on the pro-rata CIP you MIGHT qualify for.
Mid year pmp when half of our org won’t be around is ridiculous. No one is getting promotions or raises when we’re cutting costs. pmp won’t make a difference
Been told in ABU not to bother with it, quietly by my current boss
Prob for bs reasons to avoid paying severance id guess
While we are it , let’s also update skill insights too ! lol 😂
I know people that have AEOI'd and have a severance dates later in the year and they have to record their Mid-PMP. What a waste of time!
I am glad to hear one of the goals of the new org is to be more efficient and we are already making improvements to make efficiency happen.
