It is long overdue, to weed out the deadweights, whiners and complainer’s. Now let’s sit back and she how many of these loudmouths will actually leave . My bet is 99% show up with their hat in their hand and say yes sir/ ma’am to their bosses , they are tough hiding behind their keyboards now the rubber is hitting the road so let’s see how tough these chumps really are.

I hope that's true. I hope I'm not the only one blatantly wasting company resources.
I was WFH for 15 years. Top rating 14 out of those 15. Someone who is strategic makes cuts based on skill and production and keeps their talent, wherever they are. Someone with no clue launches RTO to achieve their force reductions.
Idk, maybe the office workers unionize and let them know what we think of their policies.
CWA want to take on some more members?
Yes thank you for the email. Now that I know loyalty and giving a cr@p are out the window, I can respond appropriately. I started yesterday with a two hour nap in my car. Don't worry, my computer was logged on. I got my 8. Today, I am off to the gym and costco.
Sir, you have some creamy milky substance dripping from your mouth.
oh I'm not leaving. way too much malingering to do before then.
@a6 correction - he wants YOU to
@OP 100% I’m glad we’re finally addressing the slug farm
Every time I watch Shrek and see Lord Farquaad, I see and hear Stankey.
This slavish praise of Stankey and his tone deaf non-leadership would make Kim Jong-un blush. Hey, Stank did you higher the PR bots in Pyongyang? What hoot this clown is when he tries to show "strong leadership". North Kbots. 😈
Stankey is an id--t. He pushed to buy DirecTV, a freaking satellite company when everyone is streaming. $40 Billion dollars then sold for $20 billion. That’s a $20 billion dollar loss. Then made the same mistake again with Timewarner this time $80 B the sold for $40 B, $40 B loss. Combined $60B loss. Then tries to spin off everything as if it was Randall’s fault when he was the one pushing for these “strategic” moves when he was the COO. Freaking meathead. Meanwhile, the systems are cr-p, if we only spent 25% of that money back in 2014 to improve our systems and adopt SaaS early like our competitors did, then we wouldn’t be #3 right now. Then he wants to blame the employees for his sc--w ups. A comic book could be written about this cr-p show. Guy has to go down as one of the worst CEOs in corporate America’s history.
@ac Keyword is "spy". If only a journalist or privacy watchdog organization would find out how we geofence employees, track keystrokes and do fake "snack cart" relays -- among other things of course.
These pro Stankey comments in this thread feel like HR folks are being asked to weigh in now. So many of our HR team were never even trained in this field. Many of them enjoyed the previous regime of skills pivots and moving from one organziation to another. Thought we were hiring true "experts" in their field? That includes our head of HR!
They aren't leaving. They are going to stick around and get their paycheck regardless of performance because management can't tell who actually work and who doesn't. If they could, we wouldn't be doing this whole RTO 5 days/week. The "work in person" is just a con. And as far as "performance" and "market based employment", if they were serious about that, the guy who ran a profitable business into the ground in a couple of years and then sold it for a $40B loss would be the first one bounced.
Only losers think the Stank is doing a great job.
I'll stick around and collect my paycheck. I do a great job for the company in the 8 hours/day a work. But that's all they get. If they have so little trust that they have to spy on employees and outright say there is no loyalty, then they don't get any more than the 40 hours they pay for.
Hilarious staff shilling going on. Or did lil Johnnie contract a PR firm?
@a6 wow you sure do give up easy, not much work ethic shown in your comment, you just give up and go ball up in a corner over an email, for crying out loud you people need to toughen up.
@a6 show me any Fortune 500 where you are not a number and want you to stick around for 30 years. Go whine somewhere else
Yes, thank you John for confirming undoubtedly that I am just a number with little hope of career growth. A job with 8 hrs in office required 5 days a week, no more, no less. No more grinding it out in hopes of earning progression or a monetary award. You want us to 8 and skate. Thank you!
Agreed, the ones screaming and complaining have something to hide . Most of them have boy buns and are still living in mommy and daddy’s basement and play video games when they should be working.
OP - Just cause you show up in the office 5x per week doesn’t mean you’re not a schmuck who doesn’t deliver (and I’m sure not many want to work with you).
Go away.
