Here’s the reality of the sales role at Dell: surface level recognition, bloated quotas, make-believe attainment metrics, and a ‘sales’ job that’s turned into wall-to-wall admin work. But AI is coming to save the day.
It’s wild how companies can slash comp year after year and still expect you to smile and be grateful you’ve got a job.
Come on if these were real standards, more than half the sales force would be on PIPs. You can’t put people on plans based on make-believe quota math. What Dell is doing with compensation is criminal. But all you fu--ing lemmings just sit there punching the clock with no recourse.
