Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Better Every Day!

I am really excited for the new Kari Knight-Stevens initiative and commitment to make the employee experience Better Every Day! Who knows how amazing things will be in a few weeks or months?

Please post any hard evidence on the continuous, daily employee-centeted improvements that you see, so we can keep track of them all!

Aw @c9+1jser4a8f... you really need to get in the spirit of your coworkers' disillusioned sarcasm to truly appreciate this site! Read in the correct tone, this post perfectly incapsulates the unamused attitude we all hold against the self-congratulatory and ignorant execs leading the company into the sewers and making employees dread waking up every morning!

I don’t know why you’re complaining. I’m getting a waffle party on Friday.

Honestly at this point the stereotypical “let’s boost morale with a pizza party” would beat whatever the fu-k Cigna is doing right now

I have heard they are approving 12% thicker toilet paper and only diluting the hand soap 25% vs the previous 50% as a reward to those who have RTO'ed

Don't you realize that the PTO reduction is another example of benevolence from our esteemed SLT? We were incapable of managing our hours in a healthy manner so momma Kari came in and made it all better. A goddam utopia!

I don’t know how they can say with a straight face they are employee centered when they just announced that at end of this year they are reducing your PTO carryover down to 24 hours only from current 56. They also said if you leave after this year voluntary or because of retirement they will no longer pay you out your earned PTO. Of course this doesn’t apply to mid-level directors and above, just everyone below. Rules for thee, but not for me mentality. They preach “happy employees will make happy customers “ but then they do this stuff in addition to the under the radar rolling layoffs that never get spoken about until one day you just realize someone is gone. Leaves employees wondering “am I next?” And “can I really trust Cigna anymore?”
