It happened today and it wasn’t all folks in the USA. They don’t care where you are. A head is a head to top management. How little you make had no bearing.

In reality, Mumbai employees are close to 1/3 of US/UK pay, especially in back office. So math does not work anymore. Just inertia, I wonder what are western companies going to do now to cut costs?
Head leadership meetings today in Florida. Each area has to eliminate 20%. This can be across all countries.

@a7 it takes 3 Indians to do the job of one US/European/Costarican. The good news for those in Mumbai? You cost 1/5th of a US employee. So the math kind of works.

close to 200 to be let go in Tampa the week of Feb 18th. no clue what departments.
Mostly US citizens are affected, which is reasonable due to their poor cost efficiency.
