I'm hearing rumours that there will not be an EOI option in the ABU which will be disappointing. FFS, the leadership in this company is hopeless, at least give the people who want to get off this merry go round, the option to bow out before that s**t show of the ENGINE gets going.

Now we just need the terms. I’m happy for them to pay me to get out of dodge. EOI is like getting paid to accept a seat on one of the lifeboats leaving the Titanic.
ABU announced today that EOIs will be available for in-scope employees.
Observe well compadres, @c6+1jq2qm3a1, if not a jealous ex-employee is the reason ABU should increase the frequency of random dr-g and alcohol tests. For the BU to survive you need to weed out these individuals who act weird stuff due to M€th. Let's now observe him down vote this to prove the tendencies of brain damage.
@c6 I hope your kneepads are extra padded
Right on @c6+1jq2qm3a1 let's bring super to the bare minimum too, and while we are at it why not make MW compensation even more reasonable.
4 weeks per year (cap of 52 weeks) is excessive. The government requirements in Australia never exceed 16 weeks. Continuing to grant such massive payouts is throwing money away in a time of cost conservatism.
EOI or not, I hope the ABU brings the redundancy package into the realm of reasonableness.
I’d be very happy with 4 weeks per year. I’d also be happy if there was some communication as to what the frig is going on.
@bq+1jq2qm3a But he does know he keeps repeating himself.
Capped at 2 yrs not 52 wks. Typo
Use to be 4 wks for each year of service capped at 52 wks.
The statutory entitlement is available here for those interested:

It's probably because the head of HR doesn't know what he's doing.
They don’t want the package info released early, either cause it’s good compared to other BUs, or cause it’s sh--e compared to the last several rounds.
ABU EOIs were offered in 2020. There were no legal issues then so if that’s the reason given now it doesn’t hold water.
Reason being if they allow EOI process it will likely not be determined as a genuine redundancy under AU employment law and at the Fair Work Commission in which case there is no favorable tax treatment as it may not be considered a genuine redundancy. My advice would be if you want a golden ticket out of ABU is to apply for jobs outside your department, or roles you would never have applied for ever in your life (i.e., MD, etc). They will get the picture! Happy hunting!
There will be lots of transition positions. You will escape soon enough
They probably want to use us to train the ENGINE.
Humiliating us to the end....
I’m in an already heavily centralised function that is about to even more heavily centralised. There’s enough information to believe there won’t be an appropriate job for me to apply for, let alone three, so it will just be another kick in the guts.
Let me exit the business with grace and dignity after I’ve given the entirety of my professional career to the organisation - is that too much to ask? We are all adults here.
ABU salaries are surely NOT disappointing. They will survive lol
Poor f@@ls
