Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

WTF has happened to Chevron!!!!!?????

MW is GUTTING this company and nobody seems to be able to do ANYTHING about it! Our team lost a VALUABLE member who has proven to be irreplaceable and nobody in management gives a sh-t! If they stabbed him in the back after 20 years with the company I know I mean NOTHING to them. There’s no more job satisfaction here. I can’t produce what is being asked of me. How did we go from being such a high quality company to this almost overnight?

OK Boomer you are absolutely correct. Starting with the 80's in Concord/Walnut Creek California (mostly finance) it seems like there was a "Town Hall" every five years announcing a downsizing effort. In that respect the oil business has not changed that much, I believe people have different attitudes. (Not bad, just different)

Apparently, someone else does not agree with your opinion.

What you guys are calling turmoil was just an average year for us back in the 80's.
You'll survive. Hang in there.

How does the stock continue to perform so well given the turmoil inside?

@c5
You can always replace somebody, but you won't always get the same results, or any results at all. And it usually will cost you more time and money than what you planned.

Skilled Leaders know this.

The ELT is convinced that most jobs can be done with ChatGPT or Engine. They have convinced the BOD to go along with them as long as the dividend is paid and the stock price remains where it is.

Op and other whining crew,

Everyone is replaceable, inside and outside of Chevron in corporate America and more broadly in the Capitalism system. No one is safe amd no one should think their skillset is unique to the point no other person can obtain that skill set. If you are not happy move on, if you cannot find jobs outside, it speaks volumes about your skillset and expectations[i.e entitlement].

Too be fair, it was discovered PDCE had numerous, shall we say, conflicts of interest/entanglements with contractors that perhaps were very very questionable. Some of the Denver strip clubs may be the biggest losers here…

@a4 "Evil is not the beginning of it. During Covid MW met with Biden to lobby for mandatory vaccinations. He’s a useful id--t through and through, always doing someone else’s bidding."

Precisely. He is an accomplice to the crime.

They’re not sending their best, folks! The good ones were let go during the “reorg” and only the mediocre or “low cost geographies” (lmfao) remain. What could go wrong??? 🤡🤡🤡
