Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

I am in ground hogs day

because I keep writing same thing over and over in the hopes that Nike upper management do something. And it is either because they are incompetent or just plain stupid, they don't do anything!!!!
Nike finally divulged their f2ck ups in public today and stock is down almost 10 percent after hours. That is Wall Street's judgement of NIke management's Doo Doos.
It is a F. OK, enough about JD's f2ck up but what is the excuse that EH cannot come out with any campaign or new shoes in 18 months that he has been there?
Nike confirmed that sales will go down until the end of this year.
LET'S GET RID OF EH SOONER RATHER THAN LATER. What will he do going forward that he did not do in lasts 18 months. I am sure EH will walk away with nice big package so don't feel sorry for him and as for us mortals we will go week to week hoping that we don't get hit by flying axe.
PK, I know your wealth went down by 3 billion today so please fire EH like you fired Perez back in the day. Or your wealth will go down by another 10 percent soon.

Break down our margin on a shoe. What percentage is manufacturing, transportation, and tax + tariff. These days we save $5 on people and spend $20 on international politics. Taking a step back... that's Nike brand story these days. At all levels.

Our risk exposure has been blatantly obvious since the beginning of covid. It has been like 6 years. Wtf is our leadership doing? Not their jobs for one thing.

@c3 manufacturing in state side? Before we make Nike in state side we better make submarines, drones and aircraft carrier in stateside. Hope you know that our military is really old, expensive and does even fit the military purpose.
Make in USA and sell at $200.00 like NB? I wonder who will buy that cr-p.

If you want to do little research Google Exeter and NIke. Or ask Mark Parker because he is one of the few that has been around to know what they are.

I swear OP smells like curry. We've got a target on our back same as the other big tech companies. They want their blood in the CEO seat so discrimination can flow unhindered.

Nike is going to struggle until we figure out how to bring manufacturing stateside. The tariffs are high and only getting higher

@br yes, I am fully aware that it takes up to 3 years to turn it around a big corporation like Nike. But in 18 months, there should have been sign of ball rolling in positive way but as of now, all he did is fire employees and give them insecurity while not providing any guidance and security to create environment where employees can produce!!!

So far there has been nothing!!! My premise is that if EH could not provide anything new in 18 months then in 36 months he will not turn the ship around or the ship will not leave the port.

I hope that EH is not trying to implement an AI system thinking he will fire most human staff. That will be a farce.

Who do you expect to do a better job? This isn’t all about the leader at the helm of our ship… it’s also all the people under him “leading” and making positive or negative decisions too. Even you.. and how you show up and how you lead in your role..

How long does a company typically take to turn around and get back to growth? Genuinely asking. 1 year? 3-5 years? The current geo political state of the world isn’t doing us any favors either..
