Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Wonewok sells for...$4 million (was valued 10 to 15 million)

Perhaps the final coup de grace from the (fall of the) Roman Empire. Mikey got rid of a beloved retreat. BB must need the money for more share buy backs.

At least the guy who bought it seems to love vacationing in northern Minnesota.

It would have been mothballed by BB anyway. If he won't spring for service dinners or Everyday Wins, then he definitely wouldn't want to pay for transportation and food and drinks for deserving employees.

Good memories for some there for sure. Pure Minnesota.

@cz it’s worth more for bargain sale value, for a tax credit. They get 5 million for the sale, 10 million in real tax return dollars. Reality they get it all back. Tax law.

Yes. Developers are lined up to invest in Park Rapids. They are lucky they got rid of this white elephant

@c3 Classic 3M - thinking their property is worth $15 million and actually getting roughly one fourth of that - $4 million. Just like so many of their products - way over priced compared to the competitor's offerings. As an employee, if it wasn't for the returns in the back of the company store - I would very rarely buy 3M products at a retail store. Ever since the drastic cost cutting started by McNearny in 2001, for years our department was not allowed to buy Post Its in the office supplies cabinet - too expensive!

Yeah, that has to hurt. At that price I'm guessing some developer will break it up into a couple dozen million dollar 'cabins' and a HOA clubhouse.
