Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

LFG/MetLife

According to the options during open enrollment, it looks like WF is moving to MetLife for its disability benefits? Is that true?

@ja could be because they successfully eliminated so many accommodations there's no need for an internal team anymore

@ft >>If they are getting rid of the internal team for workplace accomodations, wonder if you are more likely to get a remote exception for some conditions.

Less likely, I should think. Why move an HR function outside of the org (when you have an HR of your own) unless it's for plausible deniability against ADA lawsuits?

There also taking over medical accommodations. The internal WF accommodations team will be deprecated by EOY.

I am currently on leave and was told my manager that WF is switching to MetLife for 2026. Not sure how that works for people currently on leave under Lincoln Financial and it will continue into 2026.

MetLife is absolutely terrible. Good luck getting them to pay you anything.
