In my opinion, if youre unemployed, your job is to find a job. If you are spending anything less than 8 hours a day looking for a job, you are doing yourself and your family a disservice.
Always keep looking for the ideal position, but keep in mind that the ideal position never exists and eventually severance and unemployment runs out, and it runs out sooner than you think.
Depends on how desperate you are to get out. Me? 1000 a week.
I sent 5 a week for 6 months while I was still at CDW in preparation for my resignation. It wasn't a matter of getting an offer it was a matter of picking the right organization. Of course having an active CCIE helped me stand out from the crowd.
Mercor AI is always hiring. It’s a great way to pay the bills and then some until you get on your new path. 1099, paid weekly, decent hourly rates. Here is an internal referral link: https://t.mercor.com/SqhS2
Job market is f-ed with AI slop on both sides of the application window.
If you actually have skills, start going it solo as a s-llc

Is the current salary that awesome?
Unless you WFH and they give you part time hours
Whatever spamming 1000 applications using bots won't you a job with the same salary.
3-5 a week using LinkedIn.
I send at least 10 a week. Crowded market with all the layoffs in the industry.
