Anyone would care to chime in with a prediction about potential Hertz Global layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

They’re getting rid of positions.
So far one department I know of has been reduced completely (laid off all but 1 person). Another department found out today they’re being outsourced starting end of May (but of course if they don’t stay till then they don’t get their severance, so they have to sit and enjoy the sword over their head for 4 months first)
@Anonymous, Hertz is a rotating door.
Just look around locations and corporate. Most of what is left is D level talent. You aren’t going to get a high performing company with deadwood. At this point this feels like K-mart on its last act before the final flush into the corporate sewage system. If you’re still at Hertz expecting a return to any former glory, you may as well believe in the tooth fairy.
@c2 Exuduse. Good lord, go back to school.
How'd you even get a job. Guess that's a caption of the workers that are left at this company.
When you have micromanagement stemming from the top “AddNONE” what do you expect?
No one wants to stay in a company that micromanages every aspect.
I asked my sales manager when they can come help and my sales manager said they’re not allowed to travel to help with their locations and if they do, they have to fill out form after form after form. Yet, there are the same expectations of performance when agents and sales managers have their hands tied behind their backs. Us agents can’t get the help we need, yet are held to a standard. I was told I can get virtual training. It’s not the same as in-person.
This company wants to do better than 2023, but doesn’t allow the same freedoms of 2023.
Talent goes elsewhere when there is disrespect, micromanagement, favoritism, lack of stability, lack of human decency, and greed.
Here’s an idea—
Cut back on the senior sales managers that work from their cushy couches and allow your people work so that we can get some sales help at the counters. Stupid move after stupid move. This is what you get when people go into positions with zero actual rental car experience then they call the shots from the convenience of their big homes and 6 figure incomes. Gross and embarrassing!
They dont have too! The new incentive plan will ki-l will create a big exuduse for sales and people will not stick around for the counter abuse when they make the pay so discouraging. It will become a rotating door.
