We are a $$billion company and LT can't even invest for a better intuitive tool for a major selection event! It is slow and buggy. This process is already too painful. And the tool to find jobs is agonizing!!! Dont know who built this tool... made me think the Power App citizen developers are the LTs with minimal or no coding skills at all. This tool is the result of secrecy!

@c2+1jve4bst6 Focus on the outcome?! They are still updating this tool as we speak!. How in the world do you also have time to focus when all you get is 30mins to talk with your Rep who doesnt even have a clue about you and your skills?! 30mins BS to talk about your whole career in CVX! well i take that back, sounds like LT dont need your career anymore! Sayonara and good luck to all of us!!!
Nothing wrong with power apps. It's a way to build an app quickly.
If you think ENGINE IT developed this app, you’re more clueless than a space cadet.
You’re giving way too much credit for the ENGINE talent. They’ve not deployed anything in production in a year.
What’s even more depressing, though, is that this app was the work on McKinsey. A multi-million dollar power app that was a requirement for all IT interns not long ago. Maybe we should have asked our interns to build this thing and get a better result. And maybe we get to save 30 jobs or so.
@cr+1 thanks for being honest that in your view is that only white males are competent and anyone else is given the label of DEI and de facto cannot be competent. That certainly explains how MW and MN have led us to the current layoffs.
You know who built it. Dot, not feather.
Maybe only white males can keep a company running for 150+ years; while DEI is incapable. If they are capable, create your own & compete. “Well they control the system”… Exactly.
DEI was created to invite more into the workforce supply and generate more economic activity. It was never intended to relinquish power & control. The upper elite will never surrender power outside of the system.
returns to grave
CVX is so chock-a-block full of DEI that is has only had white male CEOs since its founding, an unbroken string going back 150 years.
Rancid Indians, Half a$$ consultants, and DEI HR. Welcome to Chevron.
rolls over in grave
Offshore didn’t develop the job titles. That’s our HR team’s quality work
Delivering fit for purpose is bullsh-t language to excuse lazy & sloppy work.
I know this was developed off-shore because there are glaring misspellings.
The first can be found when filtering on Real Estate. The job title suffix shows as “Real State”.
Classic.
If you’re unable to wade through some app difficulties or ambiguity without getting bent out of shape, you’re probably not the right person for the future of Chevron. Be more resilient and focus on the outcome, which is identifying the positions you are most competitive for. The truth is, a PowerApp is a quick way to deliver a fit-for-purpose tool to enable a temporary workflow that is subject to a high degree of change.
ENGINE’s first deployment… ready for the future?
the CTO tool developed in 2015 was much better…
whats the problem? i already picked 3 of my jobs. It not like there are thousands of jobs for you there bruh... its a very small list
We played McKinsey tens of millions for a powerapp
I know my suggestion for the next hack-a-thon
I can tell you this was probably developed by Chevron's talented CIO. Just rationalize Apps..
Why are you surprised by the fact that is a PowerApp? Everything else built in house is.
