Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

They will not stop until most of our jobs are offshored

If it were possible, they would keep only themselves here and eliminate every one of us. We’re too costly, and they don’t care about the quality of work. Since they can’t realistically achieve that, they’ll get as close to it as they can. I don’t expect the layoffs to end until almost none of us remain.

This is what the one of our leaders was fired for from Nike. Oh and an accusation of corruption.

SLT follows United’s lead, so expect a goal of 80% offshore. 20% will to the “leaders” making the 💩 show appear to work.

@c1+1jjr84bbn they prefer to keep the visa workers because it’s basically indentured servitude. I moved to a team where there are so many and noticed no one ever got promoted. Basically they can pay a cr-ppy wage, give little in raises and workers just have to take it. I heard many complain about not having advancement opportunities. They basically get trapped. Do yeah from a leadership perspective it makes sense to get rid of US worker who will eventually expect a promotion after being in a role for certain amount of years. Do I think it’s fair. No but greed doesn’t care about fair. Needless to say I got riffed from that area. Thank God!

Plus they are not even giving consideration to first lay off visa holders and then citizens.
Isn’t unavailability of US qualified person the basis of getting a candidate on visa?
This is ridiculous and backwards.

I must have missed the email. What’s the project’s stupid name?

That is the literal plan. There is a project (it has a stupid name!) around moving almost all work to offshore or AI/automation.
