Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Allstate is draining the life out of me

It's like being stuck in something toxic, but you keep showing up anyway. Every day feels like a battle I never signed up for. The stress, the exhaustion, the never-ending pressure! I'm beyond tired of it, but with so few alternatives, there’s not much I can do. Is work really supposed to be this hard? This toxic? This unbearable?

@1gs+1jp1vw256 Never looked back, you say? Then why are you still on this page filling your brain with Allstate drama. Admit it. You are obsessed and can’t actually let go. You say one thing but your actions clearly indicate that you’re lying to yourself LOL.

Been there, done it, felt the same as you. I left 3 years ago and never looked back, better money, benefits, people. There's a big world out there, get out and good luck.

Culture is a product of leadership, and when your mid-et CEO with an ego the size of Chicago has been in his position about 15 yrs too long, this is what happens.

I have been feeling the same way as well. They keep on piling new work and reducing staff. The only hiring going on is in India due to the current industry trend and section 174.

There is just some skeleton staff left in the US and there are a few who are on VISA, are working over the weekends as well. That exerts pressure on the rest of us. It’s just a cluster***k from top to bottom and I assume that’s how it would feel like working for some Indian consulting company. The market is bad in US right now, if you switch companies too soon then you’re a job hopper. Not a good time to be an employee in the States at the moment.

The key is not to care. It is obvious Wilson on down don't. Otherwise they would have given second thought to selling out 80% of functions to overseas third world creatures and not releasing the epic disaster that is ASC.

Just clock in. Do the minimum. And clock out. No one is really paying attention anymore. Morale and culture is so in the sh----r that no one gives a fu-k anymore lol. Just clock in and get a paycheck and laugh at them for paying you.

@c0+1jp1vw256, for all the lawyers out there who hate Allstate, if there was a reason to sue for a hostile work environment, don't you think it would have been done already?

Time to make some exit decisions to improve your life. The best you can hope for is they get sued for what they did to the on shore employees. USA Employees have been under a tyrannical regime for over 2 decades. It just keeps getting worse. A lawsuit due to them creating a toxic hostile work environment is in order. The front line has endured too much abuse. C suite is not smart enough to show love or compassion over the long term so eventually they will pay the price. Instant Karma. What goes around comes around. They don’t understand that but Allstate India sure does. It’s time to fight back against corporate greed and corruption. First step, leave this cesspool. Step 2: lawsuit. Do so before they make you sign a non disclosure agreement and covenant not to sue.

Start doing bare minimum and start applying for new gigs. Allstate is nothing special. Expensive medical coverage and lackluster benefits.

I relate to a degree. The place has changed, culture is in the toilet, and feels like we're working our way toward eventual layoff. But if it's unbearable, put your health first and just get out. Even a lower paid job and start at bottom of a ladder you want to climb rather than be unhappy in current role
