When will virtual employees be asked to move to a hub?

@14m worked remote for nearly a decade before 2019, as did most others. Stop with this nonsense. There was no 5 day requirement “before Covid”
@bz Covid is over as is the corporate welfare that came along with it.
Never......many are classified as "Sacred cattle".
RTO is a charade, which is why virtual stays.
It would cost more for the company to replace me than it does to keep me virtual (because it costs nothing, due to RTO being for attrition purposes only)
They want to keep me, and. I told them I’d leave if I was told to move.
So virtual I will stay.
“ Everyone virtual is being asked to move to a hub unless they’re under some kind of exception.“
Wrong.
Completely dependent on your org. Some orgs are allowed a percentage of virtuals within their workforce. As long as they are at or below that 10%, they are fine.
The ones in my work-group have medical exceptions to work from home. So they'll stay at home most likely.
In our organization there are many virtuals. They are classified as being the "experts". I feel that's unfair on others who have moved. They should be asked to RTO and if they dont surplus them and do a knowledge transfer
@b2 , utter malarkey.
@b2 fake news, troll.
🥱 here we go again.
Said it was gonna be early this year, nope.
Say it’s gonna be June 15th, nope.
Been saying it for years.
But here I am, still virtual still earning $200k+ still socking money away in the stock market getting closer to FIRE day by day.
And there you are, still crying.
@ag “surplus”, “role eliminated”, the list goes on…
@ab On what grounds were they laid off after moving?
Get over it. The people who are still remote are Directors pets and will continue to work remote. watch and see. I have not seen a single notice in our org that is forcing us to move to the office. The people that did move to the office were all laid off after a year. That was always the plan.
Everyone virtual is being asked to move to a hub unless they’re under some kind of exception.
The timeline just depends on the particular org and team.
