Is it just me or has anyone else not been asked to provide KO feedback on their managers the last 5+ years?

In the mid-1990's in Mobil Oil, we started a 360-appraisal system on all employees including the managers. After the 360-appraisals, senior management did not like the answers and the system was abandoned.
I remember asking my manager after the feedback, why a new employee with less than 6-months in the company could provide feedback on a senior project leader. The new employee didn't even report to me for that 12-month period. I told my manager, that appraisals should on come from people like themselves who were trained in what were accomplishments and what were avenues of growth.
Yeah, it’s been 5 years since I was asked to provide feedback on my manager. And I gave them my email address when I retired. Go figure.
Will be curious to see if the new boss does this. Old boss did it 1 time. And now he’s gone .
The value of KO is not just the wording, it is the authors.
I was once told that I received great feedback but not any feedback from anyone that matters.
This was because my department manager would check my calendar and if I ever had a meeting that included a manager or VP, my department manager would come by my desk just before the meeting and tell me he would attend and would let me know anything that I needed to know later. My manager shielded me completely from any exposure to senior management. He was intimidated that I knew more than him, and did not want senior managers to find out.

I’ve been asked to provide KO feedback for 2 of my last 3 managers and I’m a CL25 without executive potential.
@OP Similar to individual contributors, they submit names, but their supervisor may ask them to revise the list or request feedback from someone else offline. For example, my manager consistently selects his favorites to give him feedback on his managerial skills.
The managers KOs are other managers that are rowing in the boat with your manager.
It's a one way street my friend. The sheet only rolls down hill. They can sc--w you all they want but you can't fight them back. Absolute power Absolutely corrupts. There is no accountability for the supervisors and managers. Years ago they were measured by turnover. If a supervisor or manager had high turnover it meant they were doing a horrible job. Now it is rewarded if they can get their employees to quit or fired.
