@e9 You can call The Work Number and request a freeze on your account, nobody will be able to pull your number.

@gn Thank you for the suggestion. Since I am a crontractor my manager was not close to me. they didn't even talk much. Newly hired an year ago and starting from the beginning they started complaining about everything.
For applying internal position, make sure to get your manager on your side for reference, that will make a big difference.
@by I have been laid of couple of weeks ago as a contractor, will they re-hire people like me?
I applied for few positions and getting rejected. I tried applying for lower level than what i am now and still getting rejections
@e9 that would be so ridiculous. Has anyone confirmed this with HR ?
@e4 Actually they are correct. Fidelity’s severance paperwork specifically states that they pay will stop upon employment within or outside the company. That coupled with their use of TheWorkNumber which may be part of Equifax, which has most if not all of your employment tied to your SS# it maybe in fact look as if once your SS# is associated with a new job, severance will stop.
@d0 Wrong
@cj You cannot have a double income unless your second job is off the books. As soon as your social security number is aligned to a role it will be reported to the Equifax service and your severance payments will stop.
White fired
Brown hired
He-l no, why would I want to give up the chance to have free double income if I get another job soon. Also f the rto strategy, I was already planning to leave and they’re paying to me leave. Best case scenario.
I’m on the hiring side, and we are interviewing people who were impacted. We’ve had a big wave of internal applicants for our open role and already moved several forward. Most of the resumes coming in are way above the level this job calls for. Good luck
Sorry, We have been barred from hiring affected associates
@a6 it is for one of those. Are they going to look even without giving an interview. Assume i was given an interview chance, will they look after that as well.
was your perf rating an IP in any of the last 3 years?
See “Last Day” thread. Assuming it’s true, quit wasting your efforts. I’m impacted by the lay off myself, and as a former hiring manager who had always given priority to laid off folks, this would be an extreme disappointment if true.
